Dave Allen has admitted that a loss doesn’t concern him as he prepares himself for his most recent bout since his 10th round retirement against David Price.
Allen has been announced on the Lewis Ritson v Robbie Davies Jr card which is being held in Newcastle, a place which the ‘White Rhino’ holds close to his heart.
‘I love Newcastle, it was my favourite night of boxing [against Samir Nebo], it was a fantastic night, the atmosphere, everything.’
‘Its just brilliant and I can’t wait to do it again. That’s why I’ve come back so soon, I’ve come back to do this. Ideally it could have been later on in the year but it doesn’t matter.’
Despite the fight taking place so soon after his most recent loss to David Price in August the Doncaster fighter believes he has the experience a know how to comeback.
‘Losing to me isn’t a big deal because I always come back, I’m the comeback kid I guess,’ said Allen.
‘I’ve lost a number of times then I went and headlined the O2 after that so if I can lose to David Price I’ve come back from worse, I’ll come back and I’m ready to do it again.’
With only just being announced on to what is set to be a jam-packed card, there is still speculation as to who the 27-year-old will be facing at the Utilita Arena in October.
‘I want to get a few wins, I want the Bracamonte rematch, people want to see that fight, it was exciting the first time round. So get a few wins then aim for the British title.’
This will be the first of two quick fire fights for the heavyweight who revealed that he will be featuring on another card which will be announced in the coming days.
